How to arrange a ride

I presume the routine will be that a driver or passenger will click on
'+new post' and put something in the Subject to identify the
destination, date, and whether it's driving or riding.
Then the replies would accumulate under that posting and further
arrangements could be made on the sasccarpool group or by telephone if
they're willing to provide a phone number.
I think it's workable but we will need a little practice before the
ski season.

That's about the way I thought it would work. People might want to go
to "Edit my membership" and adjust their options when they're trying
to link up with others. I had mine set to email every posting to me
right away. That would be a nuisance when the site gets busier. I
think I might set it to send me the once-a-day summary or maybe no
email at all. Then when I posted that I was looking for somebody to
carpool with I could temporarily set it up to email everything.
Afterwards I'd set it back. I've just turned on once-a-day summary to
see what that looks like.
