As the next offering in the Family Series, "The Witch of Blackbird Pond"
opens on the Raleigh Little Theatre City Stage. This adaptation of the
Newberry Award winning-novel opens on Friday, November 13, and continues
its run through November 22. Curtain is at 7:30 P.M. for evening
performances and Saturday and Sunday matinees are at 2:00 and 5:00 P.M.

Set in 1687 Connecticut, "The Witch of Blackbird" is the story of
17-year-old Kit Tyler. When she comes from Barbados to live with her
deceased mother's family in America, Kit's independent spirit and curiosity
set her apart from her Connecticut relatives and the other Puritan
townspeople. The conflicts and fear that ensue lead to a terrifying witch
hunt and compelling trial.

The drama is recommended for families with children ages 8 and older.

Student/child tickets are $6 each and adult tickets are $8 each.

Call the Box Office (821-3111) for ticket information about this or future
productions or for information about subscribing to a series this season.

Raleigh Little Theatre is located at 301 Pogue Street, about 2 blocks from
