Opening Friday September 18 at 8:00 P.M. is Tom Stoppard's comedy "The Real
Inspector Hound" on Raleigh Little Theatre's City Stage. The farce makes
wonderful mockery of both drama critics and murder mysteries.

Two critics are watching an Agatha Christie-style thriller. The first is
quite fond of young actresses, and the other is a second-string substitute
who longs for the first-stringer to drop dead and fears that a
third-stringer is breathing down his neck. A telephone rings on stage and
one of the critics absent-mindedly answers it. Bad choice! He's now part of
the play, and it's a murder mystery with victims. But the caller on the
phone is his wife...?

Bedlam begins to reign and the action is fast, continuous, and extremely
funny. A perfect show for the up-close 156-seat Gaddy-Goodwin Theatre where
drama critics just might wander into the action.

Raleigh Little Theatre is located in downtown Raleigh at 301 Pogue Street,
near the NCSU campus.

Tickets are on sale now for performances through October 3. Call the Box
Office at 821-3111 between noon and 5:00 P.M. for reservations or ticket
information. Tickets are $10.00 for non-reserved seating.

After the opening on Friday, September 18, there will be performances
Wednesday through Saturday at 8:00 P.M.
