Audio Status Change Issue

Has anyone noticed an occasional glitch in their on-air audio and
found in their system logs that there are audio input status changes?
This occurs on AES inputs that I know of only.

I am using the Radio Systems StudioHub system. In our situation I ran
UTP CAT5 cable as there is no real RF issues, but I wonder now. So I
am testing with a CAT5 STP cable to verify. It will be quite
interesting to find out if this solves the issue as AES is inherently
balanced and should not pose any issues with such short lengths, but
you never know.

If it is a clock glitch, then I would expect the issue to effect all
inputs simultaneously as the 32KD is the master clock in the system.
I do not observe the issue in the TOC, so the clock thing is out. It
only occurs in the studios.

I have not ruled out the CAT5 run between the RIO and the 32KD and
that is on the list of being tested. I am to replace one CAT5 with a
fiber run to eliminate any grounding/interference issue.

Anyone else have a 32KD/RIO system running the StudioHub? Did you use
STP or UTP cable?

Later!

As you know I am monitoring that STP cable installation. So far that
device is not causing any issue. As soon as I get my new STP cables,
I will begin one at a time to see what happens.

It is interesting that this is occurring. Anyone have any thoughts?
Please join up!
