Thetorpedo launcher or torpedo tube is a cylindrical device used for launching torpedoes. In dead ahead, the torpedo tubes are called torpedo launchers since they are mounted on surface ship decks while torpedo tubes are normally fitted on submarines and some surface ships.
Destroyers and Torpedo Boats are the only vessels have torpedo launchers in game with exceptions for some Light Cruisers. Torpedo launchers are useful for destroying enemy ships but requires experience to hit moving enemy ships, especially if you are new to the game.
I'm working with a remastering of Tiny Core where xfce4/xfwm4 is the chosen Windowmanager. One of the tasks is to eliminate the "right-click-desktop-menu" BUT keep the desktop-icons. This has been impossible to realize since these two features are intimately intertwined: no right-click means no icons and that's it.
The solution has become to put the launcher icons in the panel in the upper left corner of the desktop. Everything is remastered on a live system and the Xfce4.tcz is decompressed into a tmp-directory. Then the working configuration of /usr/local/share/xfce4/userdefaults/* is copied in to the decompressed squashfs. After that it's compressed again and once again becomes Xfce.tcz and is copied in to the bootloaded directory /mnt/hda1/tce/optional/.
In this situation I have 3 working launcher icons in the panel. If I exit X-windows into textmode and run startx I will return to X-windows and the 3 launcher icons are still in the panel and working.
When the 3 launchers are created as mentioned above, it updates the xfce4-panel.xml file with the new configuration, but if you save it in Xfce4.tcz, it will be over-written by default.xml on system start.
I then tried to copy the correct configuration to default.xml and packed it in xfce4-panel.tcz, but no luck, the user xfce4-panel.xml gets over-written somehow once again with a default configuration.
Then I tried to erase the xfce4-panel.xml in Xfce4.tcz and then there was some progress, because when the system started up it asked "do you want to use default panel configuration?" And choosing yes gives me the 3 launchers ALIVE and WORKING!
Each time I want to swap to a different application or launch a new one, the launcher seems a little problematic to come up. Even though moving my mouse across the top Ubuntu logo gets it up, it still seems quite spasmodic.
You can also use XCreateMouseVoid to create a small box that the mouse will stop against when pushed into the top left corner of the primary screen. This is what I have shown in green area of this image:
The only value you need to change is x which is calculated by subtracting 60 from your secondary monitor's width. e.g. 1280 x 1024 monitor I subtract 60 from 1280 to get the value 1220 for XCreateMouseVoid:
I have the same setup and it is quite annoying. The reason it doesn't work well with secondary monitor to the left is there is no barrier to stop the cursor from moving further to the left off from the home button which normally occurs in a single monitor scenario.
You can actually open the Launcher by moving the mouse to the far left of the secondary monitor if you have enabled Pushes left edge of screen in Launchers and Menus. It's not intuitive nor ergonomic but it works.
after playing EA FC24 over the last weekend, i opened the EA Play launcher today to find the game in utter shambles... i could not start it and the launcher told me to download it. When i clicked on download, it responded with error 500. i also could not open the store page for it. But all other games are still fine though.
So this is for everyone having this particular issue: i solved it by clicking on the burger button in the top left corner of the launcher. Then on Display > Reload Page and everything was fine again.
-The RUN LIKE HECK way-: As soon as you see it, hit the switchthat is by the door, and start picking up ammo (avoiding the shield powerups, you'll want to save these for last). Killthe buggers that approach you from either direction while youwait for the airlock door to open. Once you can get through, grab the purple powerup, plow through the door, and head towardsthe left, avoiding a mass of exploding BOBs and heading for thesave terminal. Save your game, then return to the main level byturning right from the term, and following the left wall. You'll approach another airlock door, which you'll want to hit the switch for immediately. Pick up the ammo that appears in front of the door, and then run against the left wall as before...you'll eventually come across a purple powerup; grab it, thenreturn to the airlock door, which should be nearly open by now. Run through, and you'll be able to calm down for a bit. You'llenter an area where Hunters will appear...kill these, and you'll soon find a save term. Use this. Then, once you've read the term, runforward on the ledge, past anything that teleports in. Take the right turn, and run up the stairs, to the left, and out onto the ledge. Grab the rocket launcher (finally!) as well as ammo and theshield power up, then retreat back into the hallway. Turn left, and hit the last airlock switch. At this point, you can defend yourselfsafely here from any attacks until the door opens.
A slight variation on this method takes the left branch after theTycho term, which leads to a dead end ledge in the rocket launcherroom. Run to the end of the ledge, spend a second or two killing from afar, then run back and follow the rest of the above toget to the launcher.
-The I'M BORED LET ME WASTE MY AMMO method-: Immediately back intothe corner of the wall and the door when you teleport into the main part of the level. Two or 3 aliens will approach you, but youcan deal with these easily. From this point, you can see the troopers on the ledge, who'll all fire grenades at you that fallshort, but they will never jump off the ledge. You can pick these offone by one with that extra magnum ammo you've got. Eventually, you'llclear the top ledge, which will remove most of the Troopers from the level. You can then proceed through the level relatively easily without problemsexcept from the Hunters (but these should be easily to deal with).Note that this first part could take nearly 30 minutes to finish thisway.
-The LAZY CHICHENSH*T'S method-: Proceed through the inner airlock as above, and save at the save term. Spend a bit of time clearing the ledge that was to the right of the airlock door (as you were comingthrough the door). Once it is momentarily clear, grenade jump on top of it, then take the first left you come to. You'll run acrossa few Troopers which you should kill, and then you'll find yourself overlooking the room with the rocket launcher in the center. Troopers will teleport in below, but they will begin fighting eachother with missed shots. Once the way below is clear, jump down tothe right, which gets you to the stairs, and a direct path to therocket launcher. Note that this method avoids the second airlockas with several other rooms, but you need to be at a good healthlevel to do it.
Alternatively, to the above, get inside the first airlock door, but DON'T save. Instead, move underneath the ledge on theright, and wait for a few of the BOBs to approach you. One or two should eventually get close, and let them explode. You'll end up on this ledge, which will make clearing out the rest of the level quite easy. However, there will probablybe a green trooper that will be ready to take you out. Youshould immediately turn around, and using a weapon *other* thana shotgun, take him out. The recoil from the shotgun mayknock you off the ledge. At this point, you can run and dodge the aliens until you get to the forementioned 2x generator. These methods are good if you are on a relatively slow (030, 040) computer.
You can also get to this ledge by using the rising airlock dooras an elevator, assuming that you are fast enough to clean thearea for a sufficient length of time and that you can make it ontothe rising door. This then will leave you at full health once you are there.
I've done some extensive reading, many sources tell me to:Right click on panel.Click on [Add/Remove Panel Items].Open the [Panel Applets] tab.Click on [Preferences].Locate your new item in the menu and click on it.
Problem is, I never get the [Add/Remove Panel Items].I have a "Add/Remove plugins" that shows me the launcher being on the left side of the bar, but clicking on "Configure" only allows me to change the icon spacing.
Can you please guide me to add and remove some apps to that menu bar? For example, I'd like to be able to remove the default terminal and add Xfce terminal instead. I managed to have it on my desktop, but never on the menu bar.
To add items to the Launcher select the appropriate item in the Menu, right click and select Add to Launcher
There is also a remove option but that can be done by right clicking on e.g. Terminal and select Remove from Launcher
The government declared a one-month amnesty period for citizens to surrender unregistered weapons as part of a crackdown on guns following the two shootings in two days this month that left 17 people dead, many of them children.
Populist President Aleksandar Vucic, whose government has faced public pressure in the wake of the separate shootings at a Belgrade school and in two villages, accompanied top police officials to view the assortment of arms arrayed near the town of Smederevo, some 50 kilometers (30 miles) south of the capital.
Vucic said that approximately half of the arms collected since last week had been held illegally, while the other half were registered weapons that citizens nonetheless decided to part with. The relinquished weapons will go to Serbian arms and ammunition factories for potential use by the country's armed forces, the president said.
"After June 8, the state will respond with repressive measures and punishments will be very strict," Vucic said of the post-amnesty period. "What does anyone need an automatic weapon for? Or all these guns?"
