Afterfinding a number of flaws in software used by many end-users while researching other problems, such as the critical "Heartbleed" vulnerability, Google decided to form a full-time team dedicated to finding such vulnerabilities, not only in Google software but any software used by its users. The new project was announced on 15 July 2014 on Google's security blog.[2] When it launched, one of the principal innovations that Project Zero provided was a strict 90-day disclosure deadline along with a publicly visible bugtracker where the vulnerability disclosure process is documented.[3]

While the idea for Project Zero can be traced back to 2010, its establishment fits into the larger trend of Google's counter-surveillance initiatives in the wake of the 2013 global surveillance disclosures by Edward Snowden. The team was formerly headed by Chris Evans, previously head of Google's Chrome security team, who subsequently joined Tesla Motors.[4] Other notable members include security researchers Ben Hawkes, Ian Beer and Tavis Ormandy.[5] Hawkes eventually became the team's manager and then resigned on 4 May 2022.

The team's focus is not just on finding bugs and novel attacks, but also on researching and publicly documenting how such flaws could be exploited in practice. This is done to ensure that defenders have sufficient understanding of attacks; the team keeps an extensive research blog with articles that describe individual attacks in detail.[6]

Bugs found by the Project Zero team are reported to the manufacturer and only made publicly visible once a patch has been released[2] or if 90 days have passed without a patch being released.[7] The 90-day-deadline is Google's way of implementing responsible disclosure, giving software companies 90 days to fix a problem before informing the public so that users themselves can take necessary steps to avoid attacks.[7] There have been cases where the vendor does not produce any solution for the discovered flaws within 90 days, before the public disclosure by the team, increasing the risk to already-vulnerable users.[8]

In other words I would like to reposition the project zero to the new finished floor level. so that all dimensions, window and door markers refer to this finish floor level. I have tried using the reference levels but that has too many set backs to be practical. I do not want the other story levels to change, just the project zero to reposition 5cm higher.

- depending on whether windows have been anchored to wall base, story level, etc., you may or may not need to do an additional find-select+fix for door-windows; same thing with walls, columns, depending on their anchors.

You have a backup, so you go through this with absolutely no worries.

Thanks, I saw that already discussed as a solution. I might try it if I absolutely have to. But I have worked with modules before, and it would mean having to maintain across 2 project files which I really don't want to. It's complicated enough just maintaining one. As it is I'm already getting corrupted project files for this project sometimes, which refuse to open anymore, losing me work and time.

I had to play around a bit , but the way I got it to work was to first of all shorten the height of project zero story by -0.05, which brings the top stories down, and then select everything on the project zero story and elevate by -0.05, which dropped it drown to match up with the floors above again. If you dont do it this way you cannot get the stories/floors above to connect up again.

What this means is an element that was placed on Story_1 that is moved far enough in the vertical direction can have its home story changed to Story_2. That can be particularly problematic in your drawings if the element moving is set to show on Home Story Only. There are pros & cons to applying it. Hope that clarifies.

Thanks, you are referring to the set home story by element option? It wasn't clear to me what it ment but I guess that makes more sense. So the option is wether the elements remains anchored to it's home story or reanchors to another story if it is elevated to the the height of a different story. ?

Yes, I was referring to the "Set Home Story by Elevation" option which you mentioned. So adjusting the storey heights shouldn't be a problem, but when you start moving the 3D Elements, then things can change Story if you allow AC to automatically reassign them.

However, Pace also recognizes our responsibility for pollution reduction as an operator of hundreds of vehicles in our region. This is why one of Pace's top priorities is to reduce our carbon footprint and improve the quality of our community's environment. This effort to convert the entire Pace fleet to zero-emission vehicles is called Project Zero.

With an ever-increasing urgency to move away from fossil fuels in mind, and a desire to do our part in resolving this crisis, Pace is committed to the goal of operating 100 percent zero-emission vehicles by the year 2040.

Whether through battery electric buses (BEB) or other alternative transit fleets, Pace will remain adaptable in its approach to fulfilling its goal of environmental stewardship, while concurrently ensuring fiscal solvency and making the most use of taxpayer dollars.

Pace recognizes how interest in electrifying vehicles across private industry and US federal, state, and local governments has intensified in recent years. Looking ahead, the agency will holistically evaluate a transition path to converting its fleet to battery electric buses (BEB).

In the coming year, Pace is also slated to receive two fully electric paratransit vehicles as part of an IDOT-led purchase of buses. The agency is also in discussions with various other regional stakeholders to identify partnerships for procuring vehicles and charging infrastructure, as well as explore funding opportunities that will allow Pace to pursue the implementation of this technology.

Pace praises the efforts of many other transit agencies across the nation and world who are investing heavily in transitioning their fleets to BEB and other green, renewable, and environmentally cognizant sources of vehicle propulsion. We will coordinate closely with the CTA who is already pioneering this technology in the Chicago region, as well as IDOT, Illinois Tollway and other regional partners to identify opportunities to share resources, ideas and expertise for electrifying public fleets.

Pace has made major investments in CNG vehicles over the past few years. In 2018, Pace completed a compressed natural gas (CNG) bus garage in Markham that houses 98 CNG buses. Benefits of CNG include lower fuel cost, lower maintenance cost, elimination of harmful particulate pollution, and lower greenhouse gas emissions than diesel.

Nonetheless, Pace recognizes that both diesel and CNG are fossil fuels that produce greenhouse gas emissions. Moving forward, Pace will curtail new spending on diesel vehicles and limit expansion of CNG technology.

Transit agencies across the nation have been investigating, piloting and operating alternatives such as hydrogen fuel cell electric buses (FCEBs). There may also be long-term cost efficiencies in retooling CNG facilities with fuel cell technologies that are worth further investigation. Moreover, completely new and innovative technologies may be invented and developed in the coming years which may be of interest for Pace to explore.

Overall, Pace will carefully weigh the implications of operating multiple vehicle technologies under any scenario and ensure its ability to maintain the highest standards in safety, training, and maintenance prior to making new commitments. Additionally, Pace will ensure that previous funding for technologies such as CNG, BEB, or any other new technology is not wasted and that assets reach the full useful life cycle before being replaced or are otherwise repurposed to achieve the highest possible return on investment.

Project Zero Dawn was the code name for a massive, top-secret terraforming system designed to restore life to Earth after its extermination by the Faro Plague. It was implemented in tandem with Operation: Enduring Victory, a military campaign designed to delay the advance of the Faro Plague until the project was completed.

Faro Automated Solutions was a major technology company that manufactured and sold products ranging from computers and personal devices to automated combat robots. One of their major defense products was the Chariot line of robots, marketed as Peacekeepers. However, an unidentified glitch was discovered in a swarm which severed command-and-control functions and caused them to become independent.

Coupled with the ability to take over enemy machines, self-repair, self-replicate, and consume biomass as fuel, the "Faro Swarm," as it became to be known, posed an existential threat to the survival of not just human civilization but Earth's ecosystems as a whole. Ted Faro, the CEO of Faro Automated Solutions, approached well-known robotic scientist and once co-worker Dr. Elisabet Sobeck in a vain effort to shut the rogue machines down. Dr. Sobeck realized the absolute hopelessness of the situation and proposed a radical solution that came to be known as "Project Zero Dawn."

Project Zero Dawn was a massive global network of underground bunkers and automated manufacturing and cloning facilities dedicated to terraforming and restoring the inevitably ruined Earth into an ecosystem once again capable of sustaining life. When the Earth became livable once more, humans and animals would be reintroduced to a rejuvenated ecosystem. At the center of the system was a hyper-powerful artificial intelligence system called GAIA, who would oversee operations as long as needed. Zero Dawn's main goal was to create GAIA and her sub-functions, as well as the facilities that she would use to shut down the Swarm and restore the Earth. Many of the facilities GAIA would employ would be built, not by the Zero Dawn team, but by GAIA herself. These included the underground Cauldrons, which would create the machines; GAIA used these machines to restore Earth's biospheres and reintroduce life.
