Ihave got a 4gLTE connection that gives me 50-60 megabits down and 30 up. Yagi directional cell booster antenna on the roof. Its the only net we have out here, and its worked for DCS in the past. Currently works well with other games like Battlefield 4, Arma and Squad.
Im having a similar issue, logged in to DCS (forgot there was an update,) looked at the MP server list and found it empty. Ran the updater, update went fine and am now on the latest OB version (v2.8.8.43704.) Went back in to the MP list and still no servers showing. I was able to connect via IP to one of my favorited servers, and it connected to the server without issue, even had SRS autostart and autoconnect (I know, not a DCS thing but figured still worth mentioning.) After connecting to the server via IP, the server list started populating. I am on a 551MBps down, 22MBps Up network (as shown by the Ookla Speed Test) with an ethernet cable running straight from the router to the PC. I am running a firewall, but have both DCS and SRS allowed through. I am also running IPv6. I have tried restarting my modem and my router, still no servers showing up when first opening DCS World Multithread. Please find attached my latest DCS.log from when I connected via IP to the favorited server and had the server list populate afterwards.
I've been having the same issue from time to time. Although the connecting by ip address, then logging off would show the servers. Unless I reloaded the page, then they wouldn't show and I'd have to log in via ip address again. Hope they fix this soon.
Out of curiosity, do you guys use any texture mods via JSGME or OvGME? I've found that some texture mods will somehow break the server list from populating. When I uninstall the textures the list will populate as normal.
Adding this from my DCS log file. It clearly received a list of servers but didn't populate the displayed list. I tried again in the single threaded exe and the list is full. Multithreading UI timing issue perhaps?
I just got same issue out of the blue. Disconnected from one server get back on list and it was all empty. Nothing changed in mean time. I guess no multiplayer for me. For me. Be it Singlethread version or MT it is all the same. multiplayer list is empty.
I fiddle with game a bit more and at one moment i saw that "yellow eye" symbol on multiplayer list screen that basicaly shows all servers if greyed out or just ones compatible with your dlc if turned on. It is aparently turned on by default for no aparent reason. Just click on that icon (aka grey it out) and refresh list.
I can recreate this on my end, using a TCP proxy through my phone's hotspot. Like I said logging in is no problem on TCP but no servers, and connect via IP says Server Offline. With no TCP proxy everything works.
Apologies if this isn't quite the right place to post/ask this - I have had a look round the forum and thought it best belonged here rather than starting a new thread. I'm hoping that some of this might help other newbies that come along too.
I've recently returned to flight sims after a very long break. I played a lot of Their Finest Hour as a child, inspired by my grandparents stories and the BoB is one of my favourite periods (I have CLoD as well), then moved onto Red Baron and the first IL-2. My great grandfather was an Air Mechanic (2nd Class) in the RFC - unfortunately he was hit by a propeller (contact!) and though he survived the war his internal injuries contributed to an early death - and my grandmother's favourite uncle was a pilot in the RNAS so I've always been jointly fascinated by WW1 and the RFC/RNAS especially.
I've really only experience of SP but I'm very curious about MP - though I have no prior understanding to call on. I'm pretty much a camel-jockey so far, I knew I had to pick a bus to learn and as I love a challenge/am a glutton for punishment this seemed like the obvious choice. I've been practicing in SP, getting to grips with the engine, tuning my gunnery on AI etc but I think I'm approaching the limits of what SP can prepare me for - unless there are some things I'm missing that would be helpful to learn first?
I haven't yet dived into the Flugpark but I think that time is approaching. I'd love to join a squadron for the camaraderie and I see that there are quite a few active ones and all of them great - so I'm not sure how to choose, or request a posting from the pilot pool at St Omer?
I understand that Discord is important - as a VR pilot (love the immersion in FC) will that work with my headsets mic or do I need to fit a separate underneath (I can but would rather not for comfort)?
Yep, Discord works with whatever headset mic you have, although some headsets have better mics than others, they all get the job done. The Jasta 5 FlugPark discord is a common meeting area, although there are a couple other discord channels that different squadrons use.
The FlugPark is pretty busy on Sundays if you get there at the right time (check the Sunday Fame or Flame thread for specifics, but it's afternoon US and evening EU). Saturday you can visit the Knights of the Sky server for the Saturday Fly In. Tuesday people tend to hang out on the Ad Astra server, with a battle set for both EU and US time zones. If it's not Tuesday or Saturday, the FlugPark is the most common place to find other players since it has an AI dogfight zone in the middle when server population is low, but Sunday is by far the busiest time for players. All three servers are up pretty much all the time, but generally low population or empty unless it's Saturday, Sunday, or Tuesday.
I recommend you find a busy time to fly, make sure discord is working, then give it a shot. I think flying is much more fun in a group with voice-chat going. Not only do I have other people making contact reports and callouts before and during a fight, I also have good people around to chat with during the downtime while patrolling or travelling to/from a recon mission.
Alongside the security of this server, you also have all the best aspects of a fun and thriving multiplayer experience, including everything from creative mode to PvP modes, and even an easier survival mode for those younger players. This mode plays out a little more like the best life games, allowing you to peacefully spend your time in a job, such as a farmer, in order to earn money to spend at the mall. On the other side of the coin though, a spectacular hard mode respawns you in a random location every time you die, so there really is something for every Minecraft player in The Sandlot.
Following a closed beta period, MCC Island is now available for everyone in open early access, and all you need to do to join is enter the IP address into your Minecraft multiplayer section, ensuring you are on version 1.19.4+.
This small server is the perfect place to see out your latest Minecraft build ideas alongside other like-minded players. Make new friends, build or buy from in-game shops to exchange resources with others, claim your own piece of land to do with what you wish, and even protect it from other players if you want. Verdux is essentially all the freedom and relaxation of your own Minecraft world, but with the bonus of a few other players to bring the world to life. Verdux is a case of quality over quantity.
No list of the best Minecraft servers is complete without the largest and most famous one: Hypixel. Hypixel is still the most popular Minecraft server in 2023, undoubtedly thanks to its many game modes, including Cops and Crims, Duels, and a Murder Mystery.
