Will Sardine support Java's FileSystem/ FileSystemProvider

Dear group,

i need a webdav implementation for the standard java.nio.file API (FileSystems, FileSystemProvider, ...). It seems as if https://github.com/uis-it/nio-fs-provider needs some love before it will run with the latest releases of Sardine, it depends on the older googlecode based release 146.

Are there any plans to support the standard Java filesystem API within Sardine itself?
