Hi,

I've started using Sardine recently to connect to Alfresco through WebDAV. I'm interested in tracking both documents and directories to check naming pattern compliance. I've found the etag property of a DavResource a good candidate to use in my system as a unique id, so I can for instance check path variations between a document and that same document as I observed it the previous time. Etags exactly match Alfresco node reference number + underscore + last modification timestamp as a long. The problem is that I can only get the etag fingerprint from files and not from directories (although Alfresco gives them a reference number as well). Is there any constraint in Sardine to get directory etags? If so, I would be thankful if you could think of a workaround to this.

Thanks in advance

I don't know, but you have the source code too. ;-)
