SSL Port Override Example with Latest Sardine and HTTP Components Client 4.4.1?

Hello!

Does anyone have a working example of code which overrides the SSL port using:

a) Sardine 5.4

b) httpclient 4.4.1

I have been trying all afternoon to make this work.

I can't find the magic combo since the httpclient API changed back in 4.3.

The user guide points me to javadocs at

 http://sardine.googlecode.com/svn/trunk/javadoc/com/googlecode/sardine/impl/SardineImpl.html#createDefaultSchemeRegistry()

which seem to be out of date.

I've looked through StackOverflow to no avail.
