HOW TO PARTICIPATE ONLINE

You have found our web site, a Google group called "A New Chapter for St. Anthony's Retreat Center." Invite others to use this internet address so they can read all the content found here:

groups.google.com/d/forum/sarcenter

We would like to hear what you have to say. You can read everything here, but to participate more fully and post your comments you need a free Google account. (Just like you need to have a Facebook account and be signed in before you can add content to Facebook pages.)

When you go to our web site you will see a RED BUTTON in upper right of screen: SIGN IN. Click and enter the email and password you used when you set up your Google account. The box "Stay signed in" should be checked. If you don't remember your Google account email or its password, click Can't access your account? and follow instructions emailed to you.

Clicking the SIGN IN button also gives a new RED BUTTON in upper right of screen : SIGN UP. Click this to create a new Google account.

Enter your first and last name;
You can enter your current email address by first clicking the blue line I prefer to use my current email address (or you can use the option to create a new email address that will end with gmail.com);
Create a password (at least 8 characters) for your Google account;
Provide your birth day, gender and mobile number, if you wish;
Type letters for a human verification test (captcha) or skip this step;
Check the Terms of Service box (and Personalization, if you wish) and click blue Next step button

A verification message is sent to your current email address, if you used this to set up your Google account. Check this email and follow the link to finish creating your Google account. Once you verify your email address, you will be able to create your Google profile and access all Google products and services, including Google groups.

On your Google account page choose "My Groups" and select "A New Chapter for St. Anthony's Retreat Center" to join our discussions. We look forward to reading your comments.

Other Tips

On subsequent visits you can simply direct your internet browser to: groups.google.com -- the icon in upper right of screen will indicate that you need to sign in again (red button); or that you are signed into your Google account and you can choose to open any Google group you have joined.

On any Google group's welcome page you can change settings (click icons on the right of the group menu line) to: change your display name; link to your Google profile; upload a photo to show on your posts; select frequency of receiving email updates of all group activity or of specific topics; leave the group.

To learn more about Google groups go to: groups.google.com and click "new features you'll find".
