Eligibility
The
scheme will be applicable to the following:
Students undergoing courses in the field of
management and technology from reputed institute like IITs, IIMs, Jamnalal
Bajaj Instt of Management (JBIM) Mumbai, XLRI Jamshedpur and other reputed
institutes. The other reputed institutions will be the ones affiliated to
universities and/or the courses conducted by them have recognition by
Association of Universities and/or AICTE, Government of India -65% for General, 62%
for OBCs and 60% for SC/STs in the pursuing course.
Diploma in engineering 65% for General, 62%
for OBCs and 60% for SC/STs in the pursuing course.
Recommendation by reputed institutes
Screening/Selection
The candidate will be screened and selected by OIC, GAIL Training Institue(GTI), Noida / his representative
Student should clearly specify the objectives, scope and terms of reference of the project study and its likely benefits. For this purpose a format to be filled in by the students while applying for summer training (Form enclosed) This will facilitate screening of applications.
Every year following number of students will be accepted at different locations in various disciplines like Mktg, IT, Finance, HR, HRD, C&P, Co.Secy. Law etc.

Duration
The duration of the project would not exceed 8 (4 weeks for data collection and 4 weeks for data analysis. Compilation and report writing)
Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical, ECE , Instrumentation &
Civil branches can apply .Stipend would be around 4000 PM.

1. Study on Pipeline welding techniques
2. Material testing
3. Heavy Equipments
4. Study on Pumps & efficiencies
5. Study on Compressor& efficiencies
6. Study on Turbines & efficiencies
7. Study on Mechanical seals used
8. Air Conditioning effectiveness & its Optimization Etc….
Electrical Engg—
9. Study of sub station set-up
10. Study on HT panels
11. Study on Cathodic Protection of Pipelines
12. Study of erection & commissioning of Transformers
13. Enery saving in the plant or Buildings Etc
Chemical:
1. Study on Processing of Natural gas
2. Water treatment process
3. Steam Generation
Or can make some observational studies of the equipments etc….
So use few technical terms for making your case for training more technical and should sound fruitful to GAIL. I mean some output to be delivered to GAIL during your study project.
