Are you kidding ? Bhai what do you expect from me then. Do you want me to invest again the same amount of time and do it , when all of you will enjoy their jobs. I told this on day one that please document all contacts.

Now i dont think I am going to again gather contacts and send mails to people. Its your responsibility to foster & facilitate your next batch with these information. Its not your batch passes out and you all got the jobs, you are done. Please dont do this.

Anyways I have spoken a lot. Its upto you and completely upto you.

Bhaiya,

What Ankit mentioned is that all the previous mails are gone. However, all contacts you gave us are either in our mailbox or in the tpsw gmail id. Since all the mails are gone, there will be no reference point. We will ask the juniors to re-gather the contacts from sns's business card collection. And what we need is complete access to his email id to get everything.

However, all the mails, I guess, are irretrievably lost. :-( its probably better for the next batch to start with a clean slate, and we will try to replace Zimbra with google mail server.

Btw, how are things going with you?

Thanks,
Rahul

There is no guarantee that this will not happen again, as long as our college sticks to its currently 'over qualified' cadre of computer technicians. We must make sure that atleast a warning is passed on to the next batch, if we aren't able to resolve the situation before we pass out.

Google mail server would be in the hands of actually over qualified people at google. There wouldnt be any intermediate nonsense at the server room

yes, but then, will we have an '@nitdgp.ac.in' ID?? (pardon my ignorance). Coz if not, maybe the college authorities would insist on one!

We can have one. Its going to cost money, but it should be possible. Its going to a whole lot of trouble to set up. Since we had everything in Zimbra, the trouble of shifting wouldn't have been worth it. Now, there is no excess baggage.

Aah, the 'M' word. Can't imagine the authorities sanctioning us money to set up a google server, when, in their POV, we already have a viable server for the same (aka Zimbra). Its a long shot. A very very long shot.

If everyone in the next batch pays 5 bucks, that should be more than enough. A job is definitely worth such nominal donation.
