Subject: [SA] Dogwood Regatta This Weekend
To:
st-andrew-...@googlegroups.comDOGWOOD REGATTA THIS WEEKEND (novice and varsity squads only): Athletes will need to arrive at SARC tomorrow by 4:30pm to load and depart by 4:45 in order to get a small jump on Friday traffic.
IMPORTANT: Any athletes, coaches and parents planning to leave a car at the church should only park in the small lot at the far end next to the old playground.
ALSO important is that, based on the rainy weather predicted, athletes should pack extra socks, dry layers, raingear an extra change of clothes for the ride home, and a duffle bag than can withstand some mud and/or a garbage bag to keep it dry at tent city and then to be used to dump wet uniforms and socks for the ride home.
Racing is planned until 7pm on Saturday, so athletes will be fed healthy snacks to tie them over until the dinner stop on the way home. Busses will return Saturday night between approx 12pm-1am (yes, this is a late one!). Pick up in the SARC parking lot due to the late night arrival. An ETA will be sent out on
rainedout.com texts. See more details below.
