Hello folks, here are two important reminders for tomorrow and Wednesday of this week!

TEAM PICTURES (all squads):  It looks like we’ll have a great day for this year’s squad and team photos will be taken tomorrow at 4:30 for ALL Novice and Varsity squads, and at 5:00 for the team picture, followed by the Intro and Comp Middle School squad.     Athletes need to wear their uniforms to practice for the pictures (Intro and MS squads- wear your yellow SA team t-shirts with black bottoms.)  It will be important to be as on time as possible tomorrow so we can work quickly to get these photos done and let coaches move into practice time.   These photos will be for used in the yearbook at the end of the season and will also be available for purchase through our photographer, Karen Ryan.  Details to follow.  Please contact Amy Holland with any questions via email at amyho...@bellsouth.net or cell phone 404-664-3135.

SUMMER CAMPS MEETING THIS WEDESDAY:  (all squads):  The coaches will host a short meeting after practice this Wednesday April 29th from
7:15-7:45 pm to discuss all of our SARC camps options for athletes this summer. You may want to put a sandwich in your car to tie your rower over until dinner, so they don’t eat the handouts?!  Details to be shared will be dates, attendance expectations, cost and other logistics.  Registration will be up online by the end of the week.  If you cannot make this week’s meeting or have additional questions, contact your athlete’s squad coach for more information and recommendations as to the “right summer camp fit” for them.

This summer’s camp options include:

1.         Learn To Row Camps (am, pm and all day one week sessions for 4 weeks in June and last 3 in July)- For athletes in grades 6-12 who are new to the sport of rowing.  Current SA  athletes are encouraged to volunteer for one or more sessions to get valuable time on the water and earn service hours.

2.         Conditioning Camp ( 4 evenings per week from mid June- end of July)- for any of our current athletes (or any approved rowers with experience) who want to stay in shape and on the water this summer.             .

3.         Competitive Camp  (6 mornings per week and 2 evenings from June 22-July 26) for experienced current novice and varsity athletes who want to raise the bar on their performance and travel to Daytona Beach to compete in the 17th annual Halifax Summer Regatta in July.

More to follow midweek including the great progress all of our teams showed in Oak Ridge this past weekend at the Dogwood Regatta!
