I have a king room for you for both Friday & Saturday nights at the Hilton Garden Inn at Gainesville (same hotel as JHR).  It’s in your name.  Assuming you’re driving the trailer?  If you have Cal with you, you might need to take an air bed for him or ask for a rollaway.  This hotel is first come/first served on the rollaways, can’t reserve them ahead & they have very few.  The other 3 male coaches are sharing 1 room that has 2 queen beds & a sleeper sofa in it (Sean, Jason, Ben).  I’m attaching a copy of the rooming list so you’ll have it.

 

Rooms were very tight for this trip, no parent block available, etc (it’s a long story, should have been a mandatory 2-night stay for all the rooms but I got them stuck in an online error & made them honor it—the venue people, not the hotel).  Anyway, just know that the rooming situation is a little trickier this time for the whole team.  Only rooms on Friday night are your king & 2 rooms for tent city (1 king & 1 double queen).

 

Jason said that Joanna is not going this weekend, but that’s the only coach I know about.  As for the rest of the coaches, I have Sean, Jason, Dana, Bridget, Liz, Ben…what about Hillary?  Is she going?  We need to confirm coaches on buses.  Reminder—this trip is being done with school buses to save $$$.  The drivers are not spending the night at the hotel so coaches will need to communicate about the Sunday morning timing for pick up to head back to Lake Lanier.  I’m pasting in the bus company info below.

Saturday, May 9 @ 0545—depart from St Andrew Catholic Church at 675 Riverside Rd, Roswell 30075 to 3150 Clarks Bridge Rd in Gainesville. Students will arrive at 0530 for a 0545 departure!

Saturday, May 9, approx. 5 PM—pick up rowers from the lake venue & deliver to their hotel in Gainesville (Hilton Garden Inn in downtown Gainesville, about 15 minutes from the lake venue), stopping somewhere local for the team to eat for an hour. 

 

Sunday, May 10, drive rowers from the hotel back to the lake venue, 0615 AM.

Sunday, May 10, late afternoon--return to pick up the team, probably between 4-5 PM, and return back to St Andrew Catholic Church in Roswell, GA

Ben and I will drive up Friday evening with the loaded trailer. The boats will be there, hopefully in a good spot, Saturday morning when the kids arrive. I think check in time at the hotel is sometime in the evening. We can't have kids at the hotel without the coaches.
