Dear SA Parents (Novice and Varsity Families Only),
As we head into Southeasterns at Lake Lanier this weekend, here is what you need to know-
VOLUNTEER ALERT: We still are short a few helpers for this weekend, please consider helping out at our LAST tent city of the season!
SUNDAY AFTERNOON is our primary need and we could use a few more hands on Saturday AM as well.
THURSDAY AFTERNOON - AT THE BOATHOUSE - we need 1-2 people to help Scott load up the Tent City Trailer at 5 or 5:30pm, whenever you can get there! You will be finished well before 7pm.
FRIDAY AFTERNOON - AT THE VENUE - we need 2-3 people to work with Scott to help secure our tent city location, unload the tents, set up the tables. At Lake Lanier from 1-2pm.
Due to the race schedules, some rowers may not be in events on both days. If you discover that your child is not rowing on the day that you volunteered, you will still need to show up at Tent City for duty or find yourself a replacement (the show must go on!).

COACHES ALERT AND REQUEST: Please remember to upgrade your US Rowing membership to "Championship" at
http://www.usrowing.org/join.aspx . If you did not pay $45 or get a receipt, you have not upgraded. If there is any doubt, pack that receipt in your rower's bag. :-)

US ROWING SOUTHEAST YOUTH CHAMPIONSHIPS
Location
Lake Lanier Rowing Club, 3105 Clarks Bridge Rd, Gainesville, GA 30506
Volunteers and spectator overflow cars will park along the dirt road north of the boathouse. Access to the road is from an entrance about 250 yards from the bridge.
More spectator parking is available on the grass east of the boathouse. At this time access is through a break in the erosion control fencing just past where the bridge construction ends.
Limited parking will be available for a cost of $15 per car, per day. Free parking is available at Gainesville Middle School with a free shuttle bus to and from the Venue. The shuttle will run on 15 minute cycles.

SATURDAY -- First race 8:00 AM, Last race 6:48 PM
SUNDAY -- First race 8:00 AM, Last race 12:32 PM

Meet @ the boathouse at 5:30 AM.
All athletes who plan to leave cars for sat and sun, should only be park in the small parking lot next to the old playground and not in the main lot.
***Special Packing instructions***
Rowers should pack a day bag with regatta needs to carry on the bus AND a separate overnight bag for the hotel. Overnight bags will be delivered separately to the hotel after departure Saturday morning. Rowers will NOT have access to luggage except at the hotel Saturday night and will NOT be able to leave anything on the bus during the day. Please label all bags!

Money for dinner Saturday night
Breakfast provided by Tent City Saturday & the hotel Sunday morning. Tent City will provide lunch Saturday and Sunday for the team and volunteers.
What a rower should bring
Uniform labeled with your name, money for t-shirts and souvenirs (if desired), 2 water bottles, sunscreen*, appropriate weather gear, sleeping bag and pillow (if desired), extra socks, change of clothes and footwear.
*SE's are notorious for horrible "uni-burns" plan accordingly and wear sunscreen

Expected return time will be around 3-4 PM Sunday. Pick up will be in the GRAVEL LOT between the church & Riverside Park, NOT in the church parking lot.
Sign up with rainedout.net or Text SARC2013 to 84483 to receive updates/arrival times etc. (you can opt for text or email -- all texts post to the webpage and remain on the home page for 4 hours)
All rowers are required to ride the bus home with the team unless they have provided a written note to their squad coach prior to departure on Friday indicating who is responsible for their return to Atlanta.
Please arrange to be at the boathouse 15 minutes before the scheduled arrival time of the buses. Rowers are expected to unload gear from the bus before leaving.
Will hope to see you all up at Lake Lanier this weekend- GO SA!!!!
