Dear Sir/Madam
As per our project design we need to conduct Base line study and Livelihood Mapping of the Saran project area. In this context we have developed tools and attached for your review and feedback..
As you know that today we are arranged a meeting with Project coordinators to verify the tools and take feedback. Tomorrow we are going for field testing of the tools. Based on the field testing we can modify the same.
So I would request you to please suggest and depute your block staff to coopup with the study at field level.
The tentative schedule of the Study as follows:
11th June : Meeting with PCs on Study tools
12th June: Field Testing at Sonepur/ Dighwara
13th June: Field Testing at Sonepur/ Dighwara and finalisation of the tools
14th June: Orientation to the PCs and Community Organisors at Porject area
15th June: Orientation to the PCs and Community Organisors at Porject area and teams finalisation for the field study (Need to depute field staff)
16-23rd June: Field Study – Data collection, Data verification (Need to depute field staff)
24th – 30 June: Data Entry, Analysis
By 15th July: Draft report preparation
By 30th July Final Report

Greetings!
Yesterday I sat with Mr. CSR to review the draft tools related to the study ‘Mapping of SHGs and Livelihoods in Saran District of Bihar’. We reviewed all the formats and he made some suggestions here and there. Besides he also suggested couple of things – i) Focus group discussions with key informants at village to obtain qualitative data relating to livelihoods and self help groups. ii) Formats for collecting basic information about SHGs and the villages for further analysis and use and for creating data base. He also advised pre-testing of tools and feedback from 4-FNGOs before they administer in the field.
Based on Mr. CSR feedback, I have made changes in the draft tool. I am herewith enclosing the same for your reference and further use. What you both have to do is i) finalize the tools after getting feedback from the FNGOs and ii) piloting, in the context of Bihar. Please plan as Mr. CSR suggested involve Mr. Karunakar Reddy, and the two CBOs, joined recently, in this assignment. Prepare a time line for data collection, entry, and analysis, and for report writing and submission of it.

Foaramt 5 ..inconsistency...it should be either Target 11-12 or
aCHIEVEMENT 10-11.
Kindly make correctiobns.
....Format 2..Incme exps....Profit on marketing should be Profit on
sales.. Nobody earns any profit on marketting..
