Hi readers!

Interrupting your regularly scheduled snowy Groundhog day for a few small byline updates.

-->We Need Diverse Books

I did a semi #longread for Flavorwire about diversity advocacy within the Kids' Lit world. I interviewed more than a dozen authors, a handful of editors, some thinkers, an academic and a librarian.

Instead of asking whether racism exists in readers and the industry, I take that as a given (duh!) and ask how activists are trying to counteract biases proactively.

I was drawn to this topic because I think the diversity problems in that world mirror a lot of creative industries, including (ahem!) my own.  Hope you read and share!
