Just go to AliExpress and search on NEMA23 Worm Gear. Amazing prices.

We're using NEMA-42 sized worm reducers at the observatory, as "prefix" gearing going into the main gearboxes.  This
has allowed us to use smaller/cheaper/less-power-hungry motors, and still fulfill our motion requirements.

Worm gear arrangements typically have higher backlash than other types of gearing, but for us, that's not a major
  drawback, since they're driving 5000:1 or 8000:1 main gear-trains.
