Unknown signal at 137.6 Mhz

Hi all,

I was catching the NOAA 15 satellite when I noticed a small signal next to the APT. It seemed to have appeared and disappeared at the same time as the APT signal. Some kind of beacon? Makes no sound on any of modes.

Hi Sasha.

Orbcomm is a m2m (machine to machine) satellite constellation. It has many satellites. Yes the low data rate links on 137Mhz band can be decode, look around Google and you will see.

Although many people here in SARA has experience monitoring satellites this mailing list is primarily focused into Amateur Radio Astronomy and not satellite comms.

My I invite you to subscribe as well to the HearSat mailing list? That list is entirely focused on monitoring space comms and satellites and I am sure you will have a lot of replies and details as they are experts in that topic:

MultiPSK ca do it, but nothing special, only telemetry data
