Using GNU Radio for Amateur Radio Astronomy

Watching  the comments  by   Marcus   Leech and   Ted  Cline   about   using GNU  Radio  flow graphs for Amateur  Radio Astronomy....     GNU  Radio  flow graphs  it  seems to me  were not  meant   for the  ezRA  style  of  doing  Amateur   Radio  Astronomy.

I  think it would  require a  deep dive  into the guts  of  gnu  radio  to modify  things   so  that   we  could  make it  work , then  this would not be the same  GNU Radio  flow graphs ...   Any  thoughts?
