Hello everyone! Im new in this group so first thing that thank you for accepting my invitation. This is TA4AOV Harun from Antalya/TURKEY. Im studying Physics/Astrophysics in university and we decided to make a 21cm band dish antenna for H Line observations. Is there anyone have any project or schemes about 1.4GHz dish antenna, filters and LNA schemes? From now on, thank you for everyone's interests, Please send E-Mail to "harun...@hotmail.com" if you have any. Lots of love from Turkey!

Hi Harun,
Antalya always sounds like going on vacation :-). Hopefully soon again!
We have done quite a number of different setups for 21-cm observation, from very simple antennas to bigger dishes. All this is described here:
There you will find a number of PDFs (in English) which give details about the various setups. This should get you started and do not hesitate to ask further questions.
Best regards and good luck,
Wolfgang

Hi,
Don't know if you've checked out the SARA site at all. There are all sorts of things in the beginner's section (check out under the Education tab on https://www.radio-astronomy.org/). Since you are new to this field, I suggest you start by looking at some of the beginner stuff for background information. You should also check out the "scope in a box" page (https://www.radio-astronomy.org/node/366) and look over the article mentioned there - everything in the article was checked out by SARA members and it works well. Lastly, I made a SDR radio and wrote an article (https://www.radio-astronomy.org/pdf/JonWallace-Article-SARAJournal-Feb-2019.pdf).
Best of luck!
Jon

Hi Harun,
There is one thing worth mentioning which is not included in our papers
as it came to the market later: There is a LNA/Filter combination made
by Noolec for the H1 line which works quite good. It comes in two
versions:
https://www.nooelec.com/store/sawbird-h1.html
https://www.nooelec.com/store/sawbird-h1-barebones.html

Hi Harun,

May ne you can have a look at my own web page dedicated to RA : https://f1ehn.pagesperso-orange.fr/fr/f_radioastro.htm

The are some papers French and English written.

Regarding the LNA, Goran AD6IW supplies very nice devices (with very low NF and bias Tee option).

For the feed have a look to the nice W1GHZ web site…

My previous feed was a VE4MA design and I am building a Chaparral model. http://www.w1ghz.org/antbook/contents.htm  (chapter 6 for parabolic dish).

http://www.w1ghz.org/antbook/chap6-3.pdf

For a nice 21cm filter, you ask to Bert PE1RKI : Bert Modderman PE1RKI

NooElec supplies a Saw bird LNA for 21cm including a SAW filter but the you will get lower performances (not an ultra low noise just a good low noise 0.8 dB). https://www.nooelec.com/store/sawbird-h1.html (could be nice to easily start with a RTL-SDR dongle including a bias Tee).
