The Demise of an Icon - Solar Cooker gets the chop!

I have been trying for months and months tl get some sensible data out of this solar cooker - rolled steel petal dish- and been constantly frustrated. My Ptarmigan array works. My Horn of Plenty works. But this thing refuses to work.

I suspect it is just rubbish.

So, for now, its coming down and is going to be replaced by 140cm communications diah from the side of an University physics dept building which I am hoping will do better.
