Hi

I received recently the scope-in-a-box.

I have an external 50ohn resistor.

Is there a way to use this 50ohm resistor with exCol in order to create a reference file for
exRA?

Thank you
Conrad

Hi Contad,

This has been an intense subject of discussion last couple months on this mailing list.......Ted has incorporated a system where you can use parameter in eCol to switch on and off a HID control board (about £5 on ebay) which then switches in and out the resistor. The big question is how does such a system compare to other methods such as offset frequency reference (eg using 1423MHz for the reference samples) or using another part of the SDR's spectrum as reference (if your bandwidth on your SDR is large enough)........

Andy

Hi Conrad (or anyone else),

If you would like to try switching in a reference load using a HID switch on ezRA then either Ted or myself can walk you through the process – contact one of us directly – Ted, of course, is our resident expert but I have also been doing this myself and am happy to pass on (my little) knowledge to any interested parties, where I can.

I will try using the 1423 MHz reference for now.

Thanks a million.
