I have a couple of the heavy units. They are Chinese, made for solar panel trackers. The drive motors draw about 2 amps at 12 V without load. I have one of the small ones on order to check out. One nice thing about the explorer setup is that the tail of the feed is very nicely made tom have a counterweight.
Dunno how long it will be to test with my explorer setup...
