Hot off the press - post addition of aluminium window screening to LRO-H2(Solar Cooker RT)

I am impressed by lovely double peak last night (see plot below) – even though the feed is probably not optimal, looks already as though the addition of aluminium window screening has improved the output of the telescope.

 

Next steps:

 

1. Stabilise the dish against flexure.
2. Change out feed, replacing it with scalar horn (cantenna with hat).

 

To quote Alex: Test, test, test, repeat, repeat, repeat – he is, of course, quite correct!!
