I believe what Andrew Thornett is doing is wonderful to encourage people to get into the hobby, especially young people. But let's remember some Mathematics, Physics and Electrical Engineering is required to really understand this stuff.. Wolfgang recently corrected me about complex sampling rate and bandwidth. I think we need to be aware of certain principles in Digital Signal Processing. These principles are useful but only when understood.
