Dear Sar-El'ers
SITUATION: Sorry for the long time between updates. The status of programs in Israel are obviously changing from moment to moment and we are busy fielding many enquiries. I'm sure like you, our thoughts and prayers are with Israel. We hope for an end to the aggressive forces against Israel, return of the hostages, Israel's success, and ultimately everlasting peace. We likely all know someone in Israel and our hearts are crying out for their safety and security, Hashem Yishmor Lachem. SERVING: Two weeks ago I served on a base just north of Beer Sheva - #559 Mishmor HaNegev. My team was assigned to prepare emergency breakdown kits for the big trucks and trailers that move tanks around Israel, as well as clean up the sheds in which they are housed. Like others' experiences on Sar-El, it was one of the most important times of my life. I feel I made a positive contribution to helping to protect and defend the state of Israel and the camaraderie of my Sar-El group was close and meaningful. Here is a short video of our activity...

CURRENT STATUS: There are many participants who should have started their program on base today, but unfortunately either the program has been delayed and/or their plane never got to Israel. Israel Sar-El HQ are working on getting participants back on base at the earliest convenience and with everyone's safety paramount. Programs will hopefully resume next week or even mid-week this week if it can be arranged. We appreciate your patience given the current situation and also your yearning to want to be a part of the IDF. Chazak v'Ematz! Strength & Courage!

BTW, looking forward to having Tammy back next week from the US, where she and Harry overstayed for a well-earned holiday after participating in the Sar-El Summit in NYC last month. Thanks and well done Tam!
