Dear Sar-Elniks,
We approach Chanukah this evening with mixed emotions, in light of the tragedy unfolding in Bondi.
Like you, our thoughts and prayers are with those directly affected. God willing, may anyone who was hurt be blessed with a quick and complete recovery. We wish everyone strength and courage as we process this difficult news. If anyone needs any assistance, please feel free to contact me (Pesach).
One of the great qualities of Sar-El participants and supporters is our instinct to step forward and help others in real and practical ways. Likewise, 2,000 years ago, our forebears—the Maccabees—chose to act with courage and strength, and they prevailed in the face of great adversity. Like them, may God be with us in all our meaningful endeavours.
