Seriously though , continue the thread and expand on this . I remember reading about your flight to Griffin Ga . There is no doubt you have knowledge that would benefit us all. I returned to flying gliders after a forty year hiatus. Had to lose a bunch of weight to do it . Took me a year and a half . Started flying the end of April last year and was licensed by August . Bought a Cirrus from Bob the same weekend. Hope to take my first cross country flight this spring. I need all the help I can get

Planning a task

Deciding when to launch

Ability to "change gears" - i.e. fly the forecast vs. fly the sky

Yes, still waiting for Henry to fill us in on the 12 DISCIPLINES. I am sure that he is probably painting his face in tribal colors so he will fit right in up at the hovel in Clermont. He will be the guy holding the follow me sign down HWY27 for a fun adventure. OBTP

Henry is racing this week up in the hovel of Clermont, so he will be leading the pack down HWY27 and then back up HWY27. Things there have changed recently, they are beginning to fly triangles, something that they have hardly ever done in the past. Why, you might ask, they probably got tired of hearing the facts from OBTP and decided to broaden their horizon.  Regardless, it was good to see a few of the boys flying down toward OBTP territory, Dave S. made it all the way to Immokalee and threw in a semi triangle leg as FAI would declare and ended up making a great flight. I guess 1X has been encouraging the guys to fly down south and find out what fun soaring is all about. OBTP
