Hi
Qoute :
But please be aware that SAPlink will be moved shortly to SAP
CodeExchange. Also you should think about moving your Project to
CodeExchange. It is the only legal place where you can publish
developments done on the SAP NetWeaver Developer edition. We will even
change the license of SAPLink to the CodeExchange Terms of Use.
Best regards

I recently made a deal with one of my customers to develop a new tool as pilot project. My goal is (if the project is successful) to distribute the tool under the GNU General Public License, and because of often seen problems when transports are moved from one system to another, I found that the use of SAPLink is usefull in my scenario. I already tested this and I am satisfied so far.
Maybe SAPLink was made for code exchange, but as I read the license, it is in no way limited to exclude my planned use of it.
I have for my current project actually considered to build my new tool under the SAP CodeExchange, but I make it in a customer SAP system, and I don't plan to make this as collaboratively development, so I guess I don't have any reason to use CodeExchange?
I already 3 times this year started to read the SAP CodeExchange documentation, but every time I started with the "Terms of Use Agreement For SAP Code Exchange", and thats it. I simply don't understand it and give up!
GNU General Public License is pretty easy to read and understand. "Terms of Use Agreement For SAP Code Exchange" is on the other hand clearly written by lawyers for lawyers in Gibberish.
So off course I find it disturbing that SAPLink is moved to this license.
However I guess the GNU GPL license of the copy I already acquired is actually irrevocable? So maybe I just worry to much?
