Role Overview
The GenAI Developer will build and implement AI applications using Google Cloud, Vertex AI, Gemini models, and associated GenAI SDKs. 

This role is focused on hands on development, model integration, API design, and supporting the delivery of GenAI use cases for a healthcare payer client.
 
Key Responsibilities
• Develop GenAI applications using Vertex AI, Gemini APIs, and related Google Cloud services.
• Build and integrate LLM-based features including text generation, summarization, classification, agent workflows, and conversational AI.
• Implement prompt engineering, RAG pipelines, embeddings, vector search, and model orchestration components.
• Collaborate with architects, analysts, and SMEs to convert business requirements into technical solutions.
• Build and maintain pipelines for model training, fine-tuning, evaluation, and deployment on Vertex AI.
• Integrate GenAI components with backend systems, APIs, and cloud services.
• Develop high-quality, maintainable code and participate in code reviews.
• Ensure compliance with healthcare security and privacy standards.
• Troubleshoot model performance, pipeline errors, and integration issues.
 
Required Skills & Experience
• 3–5 years of software development experience, with 1–2 years in AI/ML or GenAI work.
• Hands-on experience with Vertex AI, Gemini models, Model Garden, and GenAI SDKs.
• Experience building AI applications on Google Cloud Platform (Cloud Run, Cloud Functions, BigQuery preferred).
• Strong programming skills in Python.
• Experience with APIs, microservices, and containerized deployments.
• Familiarity with embeddings, vector databases, and RAG is preferred.
• Understanding of secure development practices and handling sensitive healthcare data.
