Any pointers on getting magnet v2 working?

Hi,

I've got magnet v1 to work before and recently I tried to get v2 to work on a new machine and had no luck (after giving up on getting magnet v2 to work, I decided to put magnet v1 on my machine).

I tried getting magnet v2 to work yesterday (sitting at airport right now) and I recall some Corus class not found error which I solved by copying a jar to a new folder (after the class not found error there was a new error message that seemed to imply there was something wrong with the magnet.xml file).

I really like magnet v1 (I made a portable version of it that runs on a thumb drive that lets me switch between an Apple machine or a Windows machine and still run a Java app of interest). Hopefully I can get magnet v2 to work.

Sorry I don't have any specific details at this moment. Just to recap, I was trying to make the magnet version v2 to work on a new machine (nothing else, maybe if I was also using Corus the magnet v2 download might have worked).

Hi Laurence,

I had a look on magnet and I found something. However, I cannot know if it will fix your issue since you did not provide any error message or stack trace. I made a new magnet 2.1.1 release with the fix (http://code.google.com/p/sapia/downloads/list).

What I propose is that you go ahead and give a try with this latest release. Once installed, you can try to run a the same magnet file I used (the magnet file is attached to this mail). Once you copied, you can run the file using the command "magnet.sh -debug -f test.magnet.xml -p english" (or magnet.bat on windows). You should have the following output (among other things):

...

MAGNET - Waiting for 2.0 second...

HelloWorldApp started...

Message --> hello world 

MAGNET - All launchers executed

HelloWorldApp finished

Let us know how it goes.
