Job Title          : Netezza – SQL Developer   GC, USC ONLY

Location         : Indianapolis, IN

Contract         : 12 Months

 

Relevant Experience (Yrs)   :  4-7 Years

 

Technical/Functional Skills   :          

·         Strong analytical, problem determination and resolution skills.

·         Good understanding of data warehousing, MPP and large-scale data management issues and concepts.

·         Good understanding of physical database design and online production support requirements for the Netezza database environment.

·         Strong development experience in PL/SQL, NZSQL

·         Strong knowledge of performance tuning of queries to work appropriately with database. Understanding of the various performance tuning levers to use.

·         Experience of reading and analyzing the system performance of Database and ability to relate it to ongoing processes and identify problems due to inefficient query/job design

·         Good interpersonal organizational and people communication skills, as well as solid writing and oral communication skills.

·         Demonstrate knowledge of Data Modeling and Data Normalization techniques.

·         Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.

·         Ability to prepare, present oral and written reports, presentations, and recommendations and to perform necessary research or investigations

·         Ability to accept high level assignments and work with limited supervision and guidance

·         Excellent work history and attendance record

 

Experience Required :           4+ years of development experience in PL/SQL or NZSQL projects.

 

Roles & Responsibilities:      

·         Support of various strategic application development initiatives.

·         Supporting application development timelines by reviewing and assisting in the implementation of designs and/or incremental changes to database definitions.

·         Reviewing complex queries and analyzing the resource usage for the same and performance tuning of the same.

 

Generic Managerial Skills     :          

·         Able to plan/track tasks/activities

·         Report progress/challenges to Project Manager
