Key Responsibilities & Expectations:
• Lead and oversee the Software Development (SD) team for the SAD (Systems & Application Development) domain — set strategy, priorities, and roadmap execution.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with product management, QA, infrastructure, and hardware teams to deliver integrated, high-quality solutions.
• Drive architectural design, code reviews, and best practices to ensure scalable, maintainable, and performant systems.
• Mentor and develop software engineers; foster a culture of innovation, code quality, and continuous improvement.
• Track and manage project delivery milestones, risks, scope changes, and resource allocation.
• Ensure adherence to regulatory, security, and compliance requirements (e.g. in healthcare / life-sciences context).
• Engage with stakeholders (internal and external) to clarify requirements, set expectations, and provide regular status updates.
• Drive technical decision-making and trade-offs to balance feature delivery, quality, and schedule.
• Define metrics / KPIs to measure team performance, product quality, and delivery health.
• Stay abreast of emerging technologies and frameworks to guide future technical investments and modernization.
