"จงมุ่งหาความรัก" (1 โครินธ์ 14:1 THSV2011)

จงมุ่งหาความรักแท้ต่อพระเจ้าผู้ซึ่งเป็นแหล่งของความดีเลิศทุกประการ ต่อพระเยซูผู้ซึ่งได้นำเราสู่ความหลุดพ้น ต่อผู้เชื่อทั้งหลายโดยเห็นแก่พระองค์และเพราะพวกเขาเป็นลูกของพระองค์ และต่อคนบาปทั้งหลายเพราะพระองค์สั่งเราไว้ เราได้รับคำสั่งให้รักพระเจ้าและเพื่อนบ้านและแม้แต่ศัตรูของเรา

"Let love be your highest goal." (1 Corinthians 14:1)

Love to God, the source of all excellence; to Jesus, the One who has effected our salvation; to believers, for His sake and because they are His children; and to sinners because He commands us. We are commanded to love God and our neighbour, and even our enemies.

It is not produced by human effort. It flows from grace. In loving others we grow in happiness and holiness. It is the Holy Spirit, in response to the prayers of the believer, who produces love.

Let us love the Lord’s people for the Lord’s sake; not only those who are our personal friends; but let us love all who love Jesus, though in some things they may differ from us.

And the grace of Christ, the risen Son,
And the fellowship of God, the Spirit
Keep our hearts and minds within His love."
