Project Overview
Project Lighthouse backfill to maintain IRMS legacy systems and develop interfaces between GenTax and IRMS systems during the modernization period, supporting all four rollout phases.
Virginia Tax is seeking an experienced Senior PowerBuilder Developer to provide analysis, support, and maintenance for the IRMS legacy system, as well as development and implementation of the GenTaxβIRMS interface. The selected candidate will work collaboratively within a team environment under the direction of Virginia Department of Taxation management.
Highly Preferred Skills
β Technical expertise in designing, developing, and maintaining Tax Processing and Revenue Management Systems
β Product knowledge of IRMS and/or strong functional understanding of revenue management systems
Required Skills & Experience
β Experience developing PowerBuilder applications using PowerBuilder 12.5 or higher
β Hands-on experience with relational databases such as Oracle 19c+, MySQL, or similar
β Experience developing interfaces with FileNet applications
β Experience developing and integrating REST APIs
β Ability to design, develop, and maintain clean, scalable code
β Experience with project tracking tools such as Azure DevOps
β Strong written and verbal communication skills
β Self-motivated with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
β Experience gathering, clarifying, and analyzing business requirements
β Ability to work independently and collaboratively in an Agile development environment
β Participation in detailed design, architecture discussions, and customer requirement sessions
β Experience supporting implementation and enhancement of PowerBuilder applications
