I am working on an Automotive HIL Validation Engineer contract opportunity and wanted to check your interest or see if you might know someone suitable.

 

Role: Automotive HIL Validation Engineer
Location: Dearborn, MI (Onsite)
Duration: Contract

 

Below are the complete role details for your review.


Required Skills:

• Hands on validation experience as a Test Engineer for various Automotive domains like Body, Chassis, Infotainment, Instrument Cluster, ADAS etc.

• Experience in Hardware in Loop (HIL), Manual/Automated Testing, Functional and Regression Testing (Black Box and White Box testing) using Dspace Tool chain like System Desk, Control Desk and Automation Desk.

• Should be able to write reusable test plans for component, Subsystem and system level validation

• Involved in Requirements Analysis, Test Scenarios Creation, Test Execution, Review of the Test Cases, analyzing the test result discrepancies and resolving them by debugging.

• Experience in CAN Protocol Validation, Diagnostics Validation, Knowledge and hands on experience in UDS services, and testing scenarios like Fault Handling, Fault Injection, Network Validation, Message Maps, network Latency etc.

• Model Based Knowledge using MATLAB Simulink, Stateflow and Plant Modeling experience to be able to use the available plant models for validation and update them as required

• Good knowledge about SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) preferably the V cycle..

• Experience in defect life cycle management and Requirement management tools.

• Should be self driven, Disciplined and willing to learn and contribute in Test Automation using Python

 

• Must Have Skills: Manual/Automated Testing, Dspace Tools, MATLAB / Simulink, Test Design, Test Execution

• Nice to have: Python, Test Automation, ECU Test etc.

Required Skills:

• Minimum 7+ years of SAP experience, with SME-level expertise in SAP TM (S/4HANA preferred).

• Proven experience in SAP TM implementation and integration with 3PL and non-SAP systems.

• Strong background in custom development and business process optimization.

• Ability to handle end-to-end project activities, including SIT/UAT, cutover, and Go-Live support.

• Excellent communication and documentation skills.

 

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced SAP Transportation Management (TM) professional with deep expertise in S/4HANA TM solutions. The ideal candidate will independently manage SAP TM implementations and serve as a subject matter expert, focusing on transportation planning and charge management.

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Transportation Planning:

○ Manage processes related to Documents and Decisions, Freight Units, Freight Orders, Carrier Selection & Tendering, Transportation Units, Normalized Quantities, Planning Strategies, Profiles, and Settings.

○ Execute manual and automated planning and scheduling, including schedule master data.

 

• Charge Management:

○ Configure and manage charge calculation master data and customizing.

○ Handle contract determination, charge calculation logic, strategic freight procurement, charge settlement and billing, carrier invoicing, cost distribution, and dispute management.

 

• System Design & Integration:

○ Design and configure SAP TM solutions, ensuring integration with other SAP modules (FI, MM, EWM, SD) and third-party systems.

○ Support global shipment tracking through organic and third-party shippers.

 

• Implementation & Support:

○ Participate in full lifecycle implementation, including SIT/UAT, cutover activities, and Go-Live support.

○ Prepare and deliver briefings, demos, and training sessions as needed.

○ Provide configuration, data migration, interface development, and functional support.

○ Develop and maintain documentation (business process procedures, functional design specifications, process flows, test cases).

 

• Enhancements & Development:

○ Design TMS interfaces, conversion programs, reports, RICEFW objects, and enhancements.

○ Support custom development and continuous process improvement aligned with SAP RISE standards.
