• AWS 2 – 3 years – EKS, QuickSight (reporting) and Automation – MUST HAVE
• Power BI is nice to have
• Certification is nice to have
• Environment is Linux as MSTR is currently running on Linux

 

Job Description:
The MicroStrategy Administrator is responsible for the administration, security, performance, and modernization of enterprise BI platforms. This is a hands-on technical role focused on managing and optimizing MicroStrategy environments across on-prem and AWS cloud, ensuring high availability, scalability, and secure integrations with tools like Power BI.

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, upgrade, configure, and maintain MicroStrategy (on-prem & AWS).
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure platform reliability.
• Manage AWS services (EKS, Redshift, Aurora, QuickSight) and cloud deployments.
• Support Power BI integrations and cross-platform reporting.
• Implement security controls (LDAP/AD, roles, access governance).
• Automate admin tasks using shell scripting, Python, Ansible, or Terraform.
• Handle production incidents, root cause analysis, and system documentation.

 

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in CS/IT (or 4 additional years of experience).
• 5+ years of MicroStrategy administration experience.
• 5+ years of Power BI experience.
• Strong AWS, Linux/Unix, SQL/PLSQL expertise.
• Knowledge of Oracle, DB2, MS SQL Server.
• Experience with MicroStrategy tools (Developer, Object Manager, Command Manager, Workstation).
• Strong troubleshooting, communication, and analytical skills.
• MicroStrategy and AWS certifications preferred.
