Job Description:

The Lead Data Engineer designs, builds, and scales cloud or on-prem data platforms with a focus on reliability, automation, and performance. This role leads data engineering efforts to deliver high-quality, data-driven insights across the organization.

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead data integration design, implementation, monitoring, and best practices.
• Build and maintain data platforms (data lakes, warehouses, APIs).
• Design and model data warehouse solutions (dimensional, OLAP, denormalized models).
• Oversee data engineering projects, ETL/ELT pipelines, and ad-hoc analytics.
• Ensure data quality, scalability, performance, and auditing standards.
• Analyze data and deliver actionable insights and reports.

 

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in IT/Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• 15+ years of data engineering leadership and scalable data platform development.
• Strong experience with ETL/ELT, data modeling, and relational databases.
• ETL/Data Integration Design and Development experience using Java/Scala, Spark preferably on Cloudera Platform .,couple of projects
• Strong Java Programming with enterprise scale experience ( using Git,Artifactory and other DevOps tools)

 

Preferred Skills:

• AWS data services (S3, Kafka, Redshift) – 3+ years.
• Expert SQL and strong Java with DevOps tools.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and team-leadership skills.
