Job Description:
Client is seeking a motivated Artificial Intelligence / Machine
Learning Engineer to join its Traffic Technology team.
This role focuses on
developing AI/ML proof-of-concepts and scalable solutions that enhance roadway
safety and operational efficiency.
The ideal candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to gather
requirements, build intelligent systems, and deliver impactful AI-driven
solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop AI/ML models and solutions from concept through
deployment under guidance of senior engineers
- Build and maintain ML pipelines for data processing,
model training, and inference
- Support development and deployment of production-ready
ML models
- Contribute to MLOps practices including model monitoring
and lifecycle management
- Create internal tools and scripts to improve team
efficiency
- Collaborate with Traffic Technology, IT AI teams, and
research teams to deliver solutions
- Work with command-line tools and development
environments effectively
Required Qualifications:
- 1–2 years of hands-on experience with Python (projects,
internships, or professional experience)
- Strong understanding of AI/ML fundamentals with
practical implementation experience
- Familiarity with at least one cloud platform ( AWS,
Azure, GCP, or OCI)
- Basic knowledge of Docker and CI/CD
concepts
- Experience with SQL and exposure to
NoSQL or vector databases
- Working knowledge of Bash or PowerShell
scripting
ML Domain Experience (At
least one required):
- Natural Language Processing (NLP), LLMs, or prompt
engineering
- Time series forecasting or anomaly detection
- Recommender systems or personalization models
- Exposure to MLOps tools (e.g., MLflow, Airflow) is a
plus
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as GitHub
Actions or Azure DevOps
- Familiarity with PyTorch or TensorFlow
- Basic knowledge of Computer Vision
- Interest in real-time ML systems, streaming data, or
edge deployment
- Contributions to open-source projects, technical blogs,
or strong academic projects
