Role : Snowflake Data Engineer

Location: Research triangle park NC  (Hybrid)

Contract (C2C & W2)

Experience :: 12+ years

 

 

Job Description

Responsibilities:

•                     Design, build, and optimize data pipelines and ETL processes using tools such as Matillion and Alteryx.

•                     Develop and maintain data warehouse solutions leveraging Snowflake cloud data warehouse platform.

•                     Create and manage data models, schemas, and data integration workflows to support reporting and analytics.

•                     Collaborate with reporting teams to develop dashboards and visualizations using Tableau or Power BI.

•                     Ensure data quality, consistency, and security in compliance with Cisco’s data governance policies.

•                     Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues and optimize data workflows for performance and scalability.

•                     Work with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and translate them into technical solutions.

•                     Support data access and subscription processes through Cisco’s Enterprise Data and Access Gateway (EDAG) portal.

•                     Maintain documentation of data architecture, pipelines, and processes.

Required Skill

•                     Strong experience with Snowflake data warehouse, including schema design, data ingestion, and query optimization.

•                     8+ years of experience with Snowflake data warehouse

•                     Proficiency in ETL tools such as Matillion and Alteryx, including building and managing complex data workflows.

•                     Hands-on experience with data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI for creating interactive dashboards and reports.

•                     Solid understanding of SQL and data modeling concepts.

•                     Familiarity with data access and security protocols within enterprise environments.

•                     Ability to connect and integrate Snowflake with reporting and ETL tools using SSO and ODBC connections.

•                     Experience with cloud data platforms and data subscription management is a plus.
