Job Title: Sr SAP ABAP Developer
Location: Dayton, OH
Duration: 03+ Months Contract
Job Description:
Role and Responsibility:
Analyze, design, code, maintain, support, install and modification of SAP ABAP application program and applications, may also contribute to project management and implementation
Collaborate with SAP functional lead and analysts for custom development
Document, string, integration and test new implementations and releases
Proactively work to solve issues with SAP functional resources and stakeholders
Responsibility to develop basic user requirements for system enhancements
Translate requirements into programming design and coding specifications
Testing and quality assurance activities associated with applications
Create technical and user documentation for programs developed and supported
Provide user support and training to current application
Resolve programming and other technical problems for current applications
Investigate user problems and initiate corrective action
Design and implement solutions for conversions, interfaces, enhancement, reports, forms and workflows
Keep management informed of cross-functional issues and significant challenges as appropriate
Perform any other job related instructions as requested
Education / Experience:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of relevant work experience is required
Seven to ten (09 to 10) years of experience with full lifecycle development in SAP to include system analysis, application design, implementation, integration, testing, documentation and support is required
SAP ABAP programming experience is required
PI/BW/BPS/BOBJ development experience is a plus
Required Competencies / Knowledge / Skills:
Proven programming, data analysis and testing
Knowledge of computer language, programming and design techniques
Knowledge of structure programming, project management and system development life cycle
Ability to develop technical design from user requirements
Strong knowledge of ABAP programming skills
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
Excellent written and verbal communications skills
Effective listening and critical thinking skills
Strong interpersonal skills and high level of professionalism
Ability to work independently and within a team environment
Excellent problem solving skills with attention to detail and change management
Ability to develop, prioritize and accomplish goals
Excellent analytical skills
Wide degree of creativity and latitude (independent judgment) is required
Working Conditions:
General office environment; may be required to sit or stand for long periods of time
