JOB SUMMARY:

The SAP BI Analyst

is primarily responsible for the design, build, test and implementation of BI tools and reports that enable the business community to achieve their goals and objectives. This position works directly with analysts and business users to translate functional requirements into technical specifications, which are further utilized to facilitate the company’s reporting requirements. As a key member of the Enterprise Systems team, the Analyst will be the SAP BI expert building project plans, identify data sources, assist in data migration and create reports and dash boards.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

?

Evaluate and recommend reporting tools (management dashboards, formatted reporting, interactive analysis and data exploration).Identify and design key business intelligence and reporting metrics

?

Develop, create, enhance, monitor, and schedule (where appropriate) BW 7.x objects.

?

Configuration and coding related to SAP BI

?

Development of complete functional requirements specification, including business impact and ROI.

?

Testing and evaluation of new SAP BI functionality

?

Production support of existing BI functionality

?

Provide on-call support.

?

Business process analysis, documentation, and presentation.

?

Interaction with users from various functional areas (order management, supply chain, finance, etc.)

?

Interaction with technical resources to define technical requirements.

?

Coordinate and assist in development and execution of system conversions.

?

Develop procedures, processes and guidelines that are efficient and focused on the quality of the process or end-state deliverable

?

Develop and drive the implementation of BI best practices and standards for the team.

?

Perform program modifications, performance tuning, problem solving, debugging, and unit testing.

QUALIFICATIONS:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

?

Bachelor’s degree in management information systems, computer science, and/or business

?

Experience in Business specifically in processes around wholesale distribution and retail

?

Minimum 8 year’s experience in Business analysis and reporting.

?

Experience working with end-users to translate business requirements into systems specifications

?

Minimum 8 year’s experience in SAP BI 7.x and prior versions development including strong knowledge of BI Administrator Workbench.

?

Experience with BW Openhub

?

Experience with SAP ECC modules SD, MM, FI, CO-PA

?

Experience with BI Security a plus

?

Experience with SAP Business Objects including Designer and reports development with Webi preferred

?

Experience with development in Crystal Reports preferred.

?

Excellent written and oral communications skills; ability to lead discussions, present ideas to audiences of all sizes, and interact with all levels of the organization

?

Excellent analytical skills

?

Ability and flexibility to quickly learn new applications and software

?

Ability to work with teams or independently

?

Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite

?

Solid organization, time management, and project estimating skills

?

Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines, both as an individual contributor and as a team member.

?

Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously, with attention to detail and closure

?

Recognizes impacts of changes and ensures appropriate due diligence performed before making changes and is thorough in testing solutions before implementing to avoid rework

Willingness and ability to travel as required
