Position Description:
PIMCO’s Alternatives platform has over $150 billion in assets under management across a mix of private equity, evergreen and hedge fund vehicles, and with a range of target returns. The alternatives platform comprises a broad and growing suite of flexible strategies, focused primarily on corporate, real estate and specialty finance sectors, as well as securities trading, and spanning the US, Europe and emerging markets.
We are building a dedicated technology team to focus on the alternatives business. We are seeking strong technologists who want to sit at the intersection of finance and technology who will work closely with the Alts Operations and Finance teams to deliver technology solutions.
Position Requirements:
· 5+ years of hands-on experience with .Net Core, C#, ASP.NET Core
· Experience with modern Web frameworks and tools such as Bootstrap, Angular, ReactJS, Postman, OpenAPI.
· Financial industry experience. Prior Alternatives experience is a plus but candidates with hedge funds, asset management or sell-side backgrounds are encouraged to apply
· Solid understanding of object-oriented design, dependency injection, domain-driven design
· Experience writing SQL queries. Database design and writing stored procedures is a plus.
· Experience with SDLC best practices such as CID pipelines, testing, version control (git).
· Experience with cloud-native development and Docker is a plus
· Team player with an interest in learning new technologies and practices
· System design experience
· Experience working with Cash Management, Treasury systems is a plus
· Commercial mindset making sound decisions and delivering to the desk while iterating to a better platform
· Ownership mentality of problems
