Murphy Oil is in the early stages of implementing SAP S/4HANA Enterprise Asset Management (EAM). The business unit has engaged an external EAM Advisor; however, the internal IT team has concerns regarding the practicality and relevance of the proposed solution.
We are urgently seeking a seasoned SAP S/4HANA EAM Advisor to represent the IT team and act in a consultative capacity to:
Validate, challenge, and confirm the EAM approach proposed by the business-side advisor.
Determine if the suggested solution aligns with Murphy Oil’s operational realities.
Identify whether the advisor's recommendations are implementable or misaligned (i.e., "square peg in a round hole").
Serve as an IT-side EAM Advisor to evaluate the feasibility and suitability of the proposed S/4 EAM solution.
Provide strategic input and advisory support to the internal IT team.
Assess whether the business-side recommendations are practically implementable within Murphy’s environment.
Collaborate with stakeholders to bridge the gap between business needs and technical realities.
Strong understanding of SAP S/4HANA Enterprise Asset Management (EAM).
Prior experience in a consulting/advisory role specific to SAP EAM.
Ability to analyze, validate, and challenge proposed EAM solutions from a business and IT perspective.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Experience working with oil & gas or similar asset-intensive industries is a plus.
Flexible availability; resource may charge on an hourly basis.
Hands-on configuration is not mandatory but may be beneficial if the engagement continues into implementation.
Note: This is a high-priority requirement. Immediate submissions are encouraged.
