Title : Oracle Hyperion Developer
Location : Conyers, GA
Description:
Applicants must have a minimum of 3 years hands on experience working with Oracle Hyperion Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) tools and a minimum of 5 years of progressive IT project experience. Finance knowledge experience necessary.
Responsibilities:
The consultant may work alone or part of a team support Hyperion Planning, Reporting, and Close solutions across finance and operations. Specific responsibilities include:
· Gathering and analyzing business requirements
· Participating in determining standards and best practices as related to financial budgeting and planning processes
· Facilitating activities in our Agile development process
· Designing and implementing Essbase and Planning systems
· End user training and knowledge transfer to business users
Required Technical Skills/Experience:
· At least 3 years of Essbase development/implementation experience
· At least 3 years of Hyperion Planning development/implementation experience
· Hyperion Planning Certification a plus
· Oracle Essbase Certification a plus
· Overall 5 yrs+ IT experience
· At least 2 years+ consulting experience preferred
· Demonstrated proficiency with Essbase Integration Services (EIS) and Essbase Administration Services (EAS)
· Demonstrated proficiency with SmartView Office Add-in and VBA in Excel.
· Demonstrated capability to architect, design and build all aspects of an Hyperion Planning system including loading data and metadata, creating data forms, business rules and calculation scripts
· Strong command of Block Storage (BSO) and Aggregate Storage (ASO) cubes and the attributes of each
· Knowledge of MDX in ASO cube builds
· Demonstrated proficiency with Enterprise Performance Management Architect (EPMA) and Essbase Administration Services (EAS)
· Demonstrated proficiency with Essbase Add-in for Excel and/or SmartView Office Add-in
· Demonstrated capability to architect, design and build all aspects of an Hyperion Planning system including loading data and metadata, creating data forms and business rules
· Strong command of Block Storage (BSO) concepts including implications of dense/sparse dimensionality
· Ability to tune and optimize Essbase databases for optimal data load, calculation and query performance
· Able to develop system automation using ESSCMD and MaxL scripts
· Experience in Essbase v11.x.x required
· Solid understanding of relational database concepts and ability to work with Oracle PL/SQL and/or Microsoft T-SQL
Other Requirements:
Solid understanding and experience with one or more structured software project lifecycle methodologies
· Ability to understand and document business requirements
· Experience in data quality issues and ability to investigate and resolve data validation issues
· Strong command of the English language
· Ability to interface with clients at all levels within an organization
· Excellent oral and written communication skills
· Ability to provide input into project plans including defining tasks and estimating level of effort
· Ability to prioritize and work independently
· Ability to identify project risks and determine when escalation of issues is necessary
