Designs, develops, and implements web-based applications to support business requirements.
Follows approved life cycle methodologies, creates design documents, and performs program coding and testing.
Resolves technical issues through debugging, research, and investigation.
Requires a bachelor's degree in area of specialty and 6+ years of experience in the field or in a related area.
Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.
Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks.
A degree of creativity and latitude is required. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager.

Big Data Positions:
- Experience with building and maintaining Big Data and Fast Data applications using Open source software like Spark with Scala/Java
- Experience with developing and deploying applications on Cloud, preferably on Amazon Web Services (AWS)
- Understanding of Object-Oriented and Functional programming concepts using languages like Java and Scala
- Experience with at least one NoSQL database, like MongoDB or Cassandra
- Understanding of Test Driven Development concepts and supportive tools like Cucumber
- Experience with Build tools like Hudson and Jenkins
- Experience in DevOps area with CI tools like Jenkins or Circle CI
- Familiarity with Configuration management tools like Ansible or Chef
