However, when attempting to add the new key(aftermarket with an ID70 and 4D70 chip attempted, will try 4D67 soon) I get hit with a failure to add error in tech stream. As can been seen in the attached images.
Moreover I also see one B2795 code indicating the transponder indicated an unregistered key. Making me doubt the originality of my black key. It says Valeo on the blade, so I doubt it's authentic Toyota. Meaning likely have 0 OEM master keys.
I've read around the forum that the adding key feature can sometimes be bugged and resetting the immobilizer can fix this issue. Sadly I don't have an immobilizer reset option under the immobilizer tab in Tech stream for my vehicle. What do recommend I do to attempt solving this issue?
Hey flash. I heard you were the person to ask about this stuff. I appreciate your response. I'm new to this, but eager to learn. Am I understanding correctly from your response the issue is most likely related to the VCI adapter, and not the ECU or key registration error?
I looked into the Vag-Com and VXdiag adapters you mentioned, but I get a bit lost in the different offerings. Do you have any specific product recommendations that give me a good grasp on what specifically to get?
Flash 22 .i didnt know vag com adapters work with toyotas cars i have vcds on my laptop i used it on my older vw group car .i was wondering whats is the steps threw vcds do i do to make another key for my car if possible
Hi, I have just bought a 2005 Alphard and had it converted into a camper so new to all things Alphard. I love it but the door beeps, tailgate beeps, reversing beeps...it's too much. So I have searched and searched on these forums and the general consensus is to get a bluetooth OBD dongle and app or Techstream. I have bought (and returned) several Bluetooth OBD2 devices. Non worked. Some would connect but non would let me change any settings. So I am now going the Techstream route. I have a MCVI cable and various versions of Techstream. All the older versions I have (v12, v13, v15, v16) don't have Alphard in the list of Toyota models. The version that came withe cable (v18) automitically detects the vehicle but when I go into customize settings the screen is empty (it connects to the vehicle ok as I can see various bits of data) but I just can't change anything in the customize screen. It's empty (screenshot attached).
I have used a couple of different drivers and made sure I have changed the VIM select. Like I said, V18 seems to connect to the vehicle, just missing customize options. Earlier versions won't let me even choose Alphard.
Doh! Thanks. Ok, so changed it to Japan and that has fixed one issue. I now have options in the customize settings menu. But now a new problem - I can't edit any of them. The customize parameters box is empty (attached). This is for everything in the customize menu.
You're in the same position as me, I couldn't get mine to do anything either, cable (I'm using a wired connection) shows up, drivers load, it can 'see' everything but you can't edit anything. Someone on another forum said to try other versions of techstream, an older version worked for them, but I've tried 10,11,12,16 and 17 (from memory, often multiple releases within each) and using virtual machine or native in Windows 10 and all to no avail. I could buy a different cable but don't want to drop 60 on a 'claimed good' version in case it's something on my vehicle that's preventing it so I'll wait and when I get a service done at a specialist I'll ask them to take a stab at it.
This is exactly the same. I'm pretty sure its not the cable as have tried different ones with no luck. The fact that the Bluetooth OBD2 can connect but can't edit anything suggests is something to do with the car rather than the cable/dongle/laptop etc. I saw some posts about the ECU not having enough power but my fuses appear to be ok.
Just installed Techstream on Windows 10, just keep getting error code, says it can't find my VIM. Ran a check on the lead and all the channels show as red NG...if anyone has any suggestions [2004 model].
If you're looking for proof that OTT is disrupting traditional broadcast, look no further than one of the keynote speakers for this year's Streaming Media West and Live Streaming Summit: Omer Luzzatti, senior director at Yahoo! Inc. and head of the company's video platform, will talk about Yahoo's stream of Sunday's Buffalo Bills-Jacksonville Jaguars game from Wembley Stadium in London, which marks the first time a regular season NFL game has been delivered solely via OTT outside of the teams' local markets.
The game will be delivered Sunday morning, October 25, at 9:30 a.m. ET, and be available on Yahoo, Yahoo Sports, Yahoo Screen, and Tumblr. According to a report in The New York Times, Yahoo has sold out all its ad inventory to 30 advertisers, including Toyota, which will sponsor the game's halftime show. "Yahoo reaches more than one billion users, and I don't know what percentage is going to watch, but it's a universe of users that's so large I'll get plenty of return," Toyota group VP for marketing Jack Hollis told the newspaper.
Luzzatti will desribe Yahoo's platform, how it selects among CDNs according to stream quality, how it collaborates with ISPs, how it delivers its ABR streams, and other details of how Yahoo delivered this historic event. Chris Mangum, Yahoo's lead architect for live video, will also be on hand for the Live Streaming Summit on a panel talking about "Measuring the Success of Content Delivery," while the NFL's Shannon Rutherford will offer a presentation at the Live Streaming Summit called "Blurred Lines: The Convergence of Broadcast and Digital Inside the NFL."
While Luzzatti's keynote on Wednesday, November 18 will focus on live event streaming, the Tuesday, November 17 keynote will highlight live linear, on-demand, and game streaming with Corey Smith, senior service engineering manager at Microsoft's Xbox Live. Smith will discuss the technical solutions he and his broadcast solutions team use to scale and accelerate video delivery to Xbox Live's 39 million users.
As you've probably guessed by now, live streaming is a big focus at this year's event. "Live linear streaming and the workflows around broadcasters taking live streams to the web is a big topic right now," says Streaming Media executive VP and Streaming Media West program chair Dan Rayburn. "We've seen Turner acquire iStreamPlanet and Amazon acquire Elemental Technologies. Comcast also rolled out a new live linear service on top of their CDN and Microsoft Azure has recently partnered to roll out a live linear platform."
Other hot topics in streaming include HEVC and potential patent fees around HEVC content, says Rayburn, and this year's Streaming Media West will include more than 100 speakers. "The show represents a cross-section of technology and business topics that allow attendees to not only learn how to implement video but how to monetize it," Rayburn says. "One of the things that makes the Streaming Media West show unique is the technical how-to sessions. The show features numerous how-to sessions with instructors guiding you through the steps you need to encode video, build a player, create apps for streaming boxes, and set up the right webcasting hardware, among a host of other topics pertaining to the entire video ecosystem."
To make it easier to figure out which sessions are for you, the Streaming Media West sessions are all assigned one or more of eight focus areas, including Encoding & Transcoding, OTT & TV Everywhere, and Live Webcasting. The conference also features a How-To track and an OTT track.
You can see all of the Streaming Media West and Live Streaming Summit sessions on the conference program page. You can register for Streaming Media West, Live Streaming Summit, and the Streaming Media University workshops individually, or with a variety of passes that include access to some or all of each of the conference components. See all the available passes on the registration page.
Streaming Media West also features an Expo with booths from more than 35 vendors covering every aspect of online video, open to all full conference attendees and anyone who purchases a Discovery Pass. In addition to access to the exhibit hall, Discovery Pass attendees can access both Streaming Media West keynotes, exhibital hall reception and outdoor beer garden networking event. All events are at the beautiful Hyatt Regency Huntington Beach Resort & Spa; special rates are available for conference attendees.
Northern Kentucky University got the biggest of the projects authorized for funding by state General Fund bonds, whose debt service is directly from the state budget. NKU will build a new Health Innovations Center and renovate its existing Old Science Center at a total expected cost of $97 million.
